Biography:

I graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University Law School, and began practicing law in November 1996. Throughout my legal career, I have focused on practice areas which involve helping people on a personal level. Accordingly I have practiced heavily in the areas of divorce, custody and family law matters which affect people in a very personal and often painful way. It has always been my philosophy to treat my clients the way that I would like to be treated if I had a legal problem. Clients contacting our law firm will find the staff to be both professional and understanding, and can expect to be treated with courtesy and dignity.

I have also practiced heavily in the areas of collection, personal bankruptcy, and civil litigation and understand both sides of a collection case. My firm is not a “collections mill.” R. Nathan Gibbs, Ltd. is a litigation practice. Mr. Gibbs will personally supervise all aspects of your case, not pass it to novice associate or paralegal. My firm offers years of experience, strong representation, and accountability to our clients.

I am conversant in Japanese, having lived in Japan twice and been employed by a Japanese company for four years prior to beginning my legal studies and career in the law.
